The Company
Our client operates a permanent camp supplying support services for the Gas & Oil industry in Nigeria which is undergoing a large exciting expansion over the next 2 years.
The role
We are looking to recruit a Security Manager for the site who must have experience in Nigeria reporting directly to the General Manager, duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Planning, developing & implementing security plans such as Emergency Response & Crisis Management.
Recruitment, coordinating work schedules & training of all security personnel to ensure a secure environment at all times. Actively monitor the performance of all his staff to ensure the highest safety & security levels are being maintained.
Ensure full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and guidelines
Liaise with local law enforcement agencies to assist in any investigations relating to accidents, theft or property loss.
Develop and implement a security programme which includes a training programme for all security personnel.
Conducting site reviews, writing audit reports, reviewing findings to make recommendations to management.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, current security issues & security technology, update management on risks or threats that could impact the company business & or personnel employed.
Perform an annual risk analysis for the country with particular attention being paid to the level of crime, terrorist threat, potential for workplace violence & any threat from natural or man made disasters.
Provide leadership, advice & counsel to all security personnel in achieving current and long range strategic objectives.
Make impromptu visits to all locations under his control.
Establish & maintain a robust working relationship with customers’ security advisors to ensure a complete understanding of customer processes to enable delivery of viable security responses.
Establish & mailtain a robust working relationship with the community relations coordinator to ensure harmony is maintained with the local indigenous population.
